One of my top spring sabbatical projects was collaborating with this fantastic crew of teacher-researchers — Anne Charity Hudley Rachel Samuels Kimberly Bigelow and I are honored and excited to have our collaborative article “Lift Every Voice: Valuing Black Language and Culture in Classrooms” in the winter issue of American Educator, the publication of the American Federation of Teachers. The article also links to multiple webinars that we gave this past spring and summer that guide educators and students to think about the social context of language, culture, and identity, with lots of strategies and resources for the classroom.
