Appointment as Special Assistant for Research & Creative Achievement at UMBC

Two of my true joys in the work that I do are bringing together great minds and helping other people realize their scholarly goals and ambitions. I am honored to begin a new appointment where I can even more fully embrace this work at UMBC. As of September 1st, I am serving as Special Assistant for Research & Creative Achievement in UMBC’s Office of the Vice President for Research—a role that will help support the growth of our campus-wide efforts as a newly designated R1 university. I will still be serving as Director of the Center for Social Science Scholarship (@UMBCSocSci) and as Professor in the LLC Program, and I will also be doing this work in alignment with my current research leader fellowship with the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) Council on Research. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to converge what I do across all of these spheres, and to bring my passion for connecting people and amplifying social sciences and humanities research to this new endeavor!
